Beekeeper integrates with the messaging platform Twilio to support sending Beekeeper Campaigns as text, a.k.a. SMS, messages. A Twilio account is required to use this integration. Please find the relevant setup steps below.
Creating a new Twilio account
Start with a free Twilio trial account, and purchase your first Twilio phone number. Then upgrade your account, and register your business as a Direct Brand. Follow this Twilio guide to Create a Business Profile, Register US A2P Brand, and Register Campaign Use Cases.
Once complete, please follow the steps below. Reach out to your Beekeeper Customer Success contact to learn about additional setup options, like setting up a default response to any incoming text replies to your SMS Campaign.
Setup an existing Twilio account
- Share the following Twilio account information with your Beekeeper Customer Success contact through a secure channel or file-sharing tool, like Box.
- Account SID and Auth Token - Navigate to your account dashboard by clicking on the account name at the top left of the Twilio console. You'll find the Account SID and Auth Token in the box called "Account Info".
- Messaging Service SID - Navigate to Develop > Messaging > Services. You'll find the Messaging Service SID listed in the table.
- Account SID and Auth Token - Navigate to your account dashboard by clicking on the account name at the top left of the Twilio console. You'll find the Account SID and Auth Token in the box called "Account Info".
- Request the SMS Campaigns app in the Beekeeper Marketplace.
- Navigate to Dashboard > Extensions > Marketplace.
- Find the "SMS Campaigns" app, and click on it.
- Click the "Request" button in the top right corner.
