Availability Status is a feature that allows users to display their availability information beneath their name in Beekeeper chats.
Using Zapier, Beekeeper users can zap information from cloud-based spreadsheets or HR tools straight into Beekeeper chats, helping managers stay informed and respectful of frontline workers' time outside of work.
Setting Up Availability Status
- Create an "Availability Status" profile field
- Go to the Dashboard
- Click 'Settings', then click 'Profile Fields'
- Click 'Add Profile Field' and select 'Text'
- Label the field 'Availability Status' and click 'Save'
- Go to the Dashboard
- Set the new Availability Status field to appear as the Display Name Extension in Beekeeper.
- Go to the Dashboard
- Click 'Settings' and then 'General'
- Scroll down to the 'Display Name' section
- In the 'Display Name Extension' field, add {{Availability}} after {{Position}}
- Go to the Dashboard
- Now, when a user updates the availability status in their profile, it will display next to their position. You could also Set up a Zap to automatically populate the availability status from a cloud-hosted software such as Google Sheets, BambooHR, ADP, Workday and more.
